Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Denver, CO (Onsite) _ Locals

Required Certifications (Mandatory)
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) – PMI
  • ITIL Foundation (Preferred)
  • PMI-ACP (Preferred)
Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple large-scale IT projects from initiation through implementation and closure.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and executive leadership.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and change requests.
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committee presentations, and executive status updates.
  • Ensure compliance with State PMO standards, governance, and documentation requirements.
  • Track project performance using KPIs and project management tools.
  • Support procurement activities, contract management, and vendor coordination.
  • Mentor junior project managers and promote project management best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of IT Project Management experience.
  • Managing large enterprise or government projects.
  • Strong experience with SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, or Smartsheet.
  • Experience preparing executive presentations and project status reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with State Government or other public-sector agencies.
  • Experience managing cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, ERP, or digital transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of procurement, vendor management, and government compliance processes.
