Job description

Job#: 3049756
Job Description:
Migration Engineer
Location: Miramar, Florida (Remote)
Role Overview
The Migration Engineer executes under the WorkSpaces SME across the full program. During the build phase, the role packages and delivers applications through Microsoft Intune, builds images and bundles, automates per-user provisioning for Amazon WorkSpaces Personal, and executes the developer and managed-services migration waves. Subsequently, the role transitions to become the contact center migration engineer, handling pilot execution, provisioning, onboarding, and production cutover waves for a large number of agents.
Key Responsibilities
  • Package and deploy applications through Microsoft Intune (Win32 and MSIX), build configuration and compliance policies, and validate them on Entra-joined Windows 11 images for Amazon WorkSpaces Personal.
  • Build and maintain Amazon WorkSpaces Personal images and bundles to set standards, and automate per-user provisioning, entitlement, and decommissioning with PowerShell and the AWS CLI or SDK.
  • Execute developer and managed-services migration waves, including cohort scheduling, per-user provisioning, first-login support, and hypercare.
  • Execute the contact center beta pilot and site-by-site provisioning-and-validation waves for international sites between shifts.
  • Run the new-agent onboarding process through the operational freeze and the cutover-on-request procedure when invoked.
  • Execute production cutover waves after the freeze lifts, with sites running in parallel within per-site nightly limits, including hypercare and exception handling.
  • Maintain wave trackers, provisioning runbooks, and closeout documentation for the Project Manager.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of end-user computing or desktop engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on Microsoft Intune experience: application packaging and deployment (Win32, MSIX), configuration profiles, compliance policies, and Windows 11 Entra-joined device management.
  • Hands-on experience provisioning virtual desktops at scale on Amazon WorkSpaces Personal, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, or Citrix, including image or bundle management.
  • PowerShell scripting for provisioning and user-lifecycle automation, and a working knowledge of the AWS CLI or SDK.
  • Experience executing user migration waves or large desktop deployments with scheduled cohorts, cutover checklists, and hypercare.
  • Comfortable working scheduled windows outside US business hours to support international sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Amazon WorkSpaces Applications / AppStream 2.0 exposure (stacks, user entitlements, session troubleshooting).
  • FSLogix profile containers and Group Policy fundamentals.
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops user-side experience, useful for coexistence and rollback during the waves.
  • Experience in contact center or BPO environments with vendor-managed endpoints and strict change control.
  • ServiceNow or similar ITSM tooling for cutover and incident tracking.
