Job description

Job Summary (List Format): Active Directory File Server Migration Specialist
- Lead and execute large-scale Active Directory domain migrations, including users, groups, computers, servers, and GPOs.
- Utilize tools such as ADMT (Active Directory Migration Tool), PES, and migration scripting for seamless migrations.
- Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory components: DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and AD Trusts.
- Perform DFS (Distributed File System) and File Server migrations, ensuring data validation and post-migration troubleshooting.
- Prepare source domains for migration, including environment assessment and readiness validation.
- Document migration plans, processes, and results for stakeholders and audit purposes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
- Work independently to manage multiple ongoing migration projects and tasks.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve migration issues.
- (Nice to Have) Configure Nasuni appliances, manage storage, and optimize network and remote access setups.
- (Optional) Leverage Microsoft certifications on Identity & Access Management, Azure AD, and Active Directory.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and organizational policies during migration.
- Demonstrate excellent documentation, planning, and execution skills throughout migration projects.
