What you'll do
Business Development & Client Growth (Primary Focus)
- Develop and expand relationships with municipalities, local agencies, and public/private sector clientsÂ
- Identify and pursue new project opportunitiesÂ
- Lead proposal development, presentations, and client meetingsÂ
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of municipal workÂ
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and position the firm for long-term partnershipsÂ
Project Management & Delivery
- Manage the planning, design, and execution of engineering projectsÂ
- Oversee scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful deliveryÂ
- Coordinate internal teams across disciplinesÂ
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycleÂ
- Ensure compliance with permitting and regulatory requirementsÂ
Leadership & Strategy
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staffÂ
- Support strategic growth initiatives in the municipal marketÂ
- Contribute to revenue growth through project delivery and new client acquisitionÂ
What it takes
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on municipal infrastructure
- Background working with a consulting firm or municipalityÂ
- Proven experience in business development, client management, or winning workÂ
- Strong understanding of municipal systems (water, wastewater, stormwater, roadways)Â
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skillsÂ
- Ability to operate independently and drive growth
