Midlevel providers often work collaboratively with doctors and play an essential role in expanding access to healthcare. They can be found in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices. The term 'midlevel provider' is sometimes being replaced by 'advanced practice provider' to more accurately reflect their expertise.
