Avalon School's vacancy is for a math/science teacher position. The assignment consists of teaching math and science to grades 7 and 8 as a singleton teacher

If selected, relocation to the island is optional; it is not a prerequisite for employment at Avalon School. The majority of certificated staff are commuters, living in Long Beach and beyond, who take a ferry each day to get to the island. Ferry transportation is covered by the district.
