Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is a leading consulting firm seeking a Mid Software Engineer to develop software and systems that address client challenges. The role involves creating end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various programming languages and tools to enhance system functionality.
Responsibilities:
• resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment
• develop software and systems from vision to production-ready
• identify needed system improvements
• help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies
• ensure the solution developed considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages, including Java or JEE
• Experience with backend frameworks, such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot
• Experience with API development, including REST architectural style
• Experience with Linux OS and command line interface
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date
Preferred:
• Experience with network security, including access and authorization for PKI and chain trusting
• Experience with writing unit tests and E2E testing
• Experience with Non-Relational Databases, including MongoDB
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Git, and GitLab
• Knowledge of Apache NiFi and Kafka
• Ability to investigate root causes and provide corrective actions
• DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including Security+ or CISSP Certification
