Job description

About the Opportunity
For over 115 years, M amp;F Bank has been a cornerstone of North Carolina’s communities — founded in 1907 as one of the first minority-owned banks in the United States. We’ve proudly empowered generations of families, small businesses, and neighborhoods through dedicated service and financial opportunity.
Now, we’re looking for a passionate mid-level IT Project Analyst to help shape the next chapter of our legacy. In this dynamic role within our Information Technology department, you’ll combine project leadership with hands-on technology expertise to deliver secure, reliable, and business-aligned solutions that support our continued growth and community impact.
If you’re excited by the idea of blending modern technology with a mission-driven organization that has stood the test of time, we’d love for you to join our team.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead internal IT projects from initiation through completion, including effective coordination with vendors.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between business departments, IT teams, and third-party partners to ensure projects deliver real business value.
  • Manage timelines, testing, implementation, and clear documentation.
  • Drive business process improvements and automation initiatives that enhance efficiency and the customer/employee experience.
What You’ll Bring (Required Qualifications)
  • 3–5 years of progressive IT experience.
  • Proven ability to lead IT projects and coordinate with vendors.
  • Solid working knowledge of networking fundamentals.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills — able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience in a Microsoft 365 environment.
What Would Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in banking or other regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated use of Microsoft Planner for project management.
  • Familiarity with Intune, security tools, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online intranet implementation.
  • Enthusiasm for AI assistants and modern productivity tools.
Why Join M amp;F Bank?
You’ll become part of a proud, family-oriented culture rooted in history, community, and resilience. Your work will directly contribute to modernizing a historic institution while helping us continue our mission of economic empowerment for the communities we’ve served for more than a century.
This is more than just an IT job — it’s an opportunity to help carry forward a 115-year legacy of service through smart, impactful technology.
