Program Overview This position supports a newly awarded five-year effort delivering modern, mission-critical software capabilities to a national security customer. The program leverages Agile development, DevSecOps practices, and cloud-native technologies to build and enhance scalable enterprise solutions supporting critical mission operations. Engineers on this effort will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy impactful capabilities while helping shape the architecture and technical direction of a long-term, high-visibility program. Position Overview We are seeking a Mid-Level SQL Engineer to support a high-visibility, data-driven application that powers analytics and reporting across the organization. This role focuses on developing and optimizing SQL queries, shaping data for dashboards, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of datasets used by mission stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience working with enterprise data systems, supporting analytics or reporting efforts, and translating requirements into effective SQL solutions. This individual will work closely with developers and stakeholders to deliver clean, consistent, and performant data that supports mission-critical decision-making. Primary Responsibilities • SQL Development: Write complex SQL queries involving joins, aggregations, filtering, subqueries, and window functions to support dashboards • Data Shaping for Visualization: Structure query outputs in a way that is optimized for dashboard consumption (clear naming, grouping, formatting) • Dashboard Support: Partner with dashboard developers to define and deliver the data required for visualizations and reporting • Data Validation: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of datasets used in dashboards • Query Performance: Identify inefficient queries and make basic improvements to support responsive dashboards • Requirements Translation: Translate dashboard and reporting requirements into effective SQL queries Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4-8 years of experience; or Master's with 2-6 years • Active TS/SCI with ability to successfully pass a Polygraph • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write advanced queries (joins, aggregations, subqueries, window functions) • Experience working with enterprise relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.) • Background supporting analytics, dashboards, or reporting pipelines • Comfortable working in Linux-based environments • Proven ability to work independently on data-centric tasks and ensure data quality Desired Qualifications • Experience with Grafana, Tableau, or similar visualization tools • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines • Experience working in Agile environments Pay Range $105,000-$125,000 The Ennoble First pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
