Job Posting

I.T. Analyst to support IH Finance area primarily for supports the business functions of financial closing, financial inventory valuing, financial forecasting, financial business planning, and Customer Profitability Reporting (CPR). In addition, you will be responsible for the maintaining and growing the current “Self-Service” Financial Data Warehouse/BI Environment built on the Microsoft SQL Server BI Platform which is shifting to AZURE platform. Proficiency with the Microsoft BI Stack and Data Warehouse design (Kimball) will be developed through daily interactions with onsite experts and outside training where necessary. Azure development (ADF or Synapse) experience would be helpful.

Business areas supported include but are not limited to: Indiana Harbor Finance/Accounting, AM USA Finance/Accounting; AM USA SSO; AM USA Credit; and Americas Finance/Accounting. You will be interacting with various levels of Finance that include Analysts, Managers, and Controllers throughout AM USA.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3-5 years' experience in systems analysis, converting user requirements into program changes, system testing, and installing programs into production along with break/fix responsibilities.
  • Must have Financial application support experience (Billing/Invoicing & General Ledger Systems) preferably in the Steel Industry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of VB.NET; Microsoft SQL Server TSQL.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and TFS or GIT or DevOps
  • Experience coding complex object oriented programs (VB, C#, Java, C++,.NET)
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, prioritization, time-management, and decision-making
  • Good oral & written communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills/technologies readily

Preferred Requirements:

  • Have 5-10+ years' experience in systems analysis, converting user requirements into program changes, system testing, and installing programs into production along with break/fix responsibilities.
  • Must have Financial application support experience (in the Steel industry preferrable).
