Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12s Schedule

What You'll Do

As a Security Officer, you will:

Patrol hospital grounds and facilities on foot, bicycle, and/or vehicle

Provide escorts for visitors, employees, and students

Respond to safety, security, and emergency incidents

Assist with Baker Act and Marchman Act patient situations

Support medical staff, patients, visitors, and law enforcement personnel

Respond to fire alarms, severe weather events, elopements, disturbances, and critical incidents

Investigate incidents, document findings, and complete reports

Monitor security checkpoints and use metal detection equipment

Assist with helicopter arrivals and departures when needed

Help maintain a safe environment for one of Central Florida's leading healthcare systems

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED required

Basic Microsoft Word knowledge for report writing

Licensure & Certifications

Valid Florida Driver's License required

Must obtain within 120 days of hire:

  • Florida Class "D" Security Officer License
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Certification
  • Basic Security Officer Certification (IAHSS) or higher

Experience

No prior security experience required
