Microsoft Security Consultant
Location: Cleveland, OH (Hybrid)
Position Summary
EIS is seeking a Microsoft Security Consultant to join our growing consulting practice in supporting client projects to assess, improve, and optimize their security posture across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. This role works directly with client stakeholders to conduct security assessments, lead Microsoft Security Workshops, identify risks, and support implementation of Microsoft security solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Lead Microsoft Security Workshops and client security assessment engagements.
  • Conduct security posture reviews and identify gaps across identity, endpoint, email, cloud, and data security environments.
  • Conduct security assessments, facilitate discovery workshops, identify security risks and control gaps, and develop remediation roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
  • Develop security roadmaps and remediation recommendations aligned to business objectives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to IT leadership, executive stakeholders, and business leaders.
  • Implement and optimize Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, Microsoft Sentinel, Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft Purview solutions.
  • Support security improvement initiatives and remediation projects.
  • Develop assessment reports, executive summaries, findings, reports, and client deliverables.
  • Stay current on Microsoft security technologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of cybersecurity, infrastructure, or security consulting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender technologies.
  • Experience securing Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Knowledge of identity security, endpoint protection, data protection, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft security technologies including Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Purview.
  • Experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms that support threat detection, investigation, automation, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with information protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk Management, compliance, and data governance practices.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing consulting skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview including Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk Management, Communication Compliance, and related governance capabilities.
  • Experience developing risk assessments, findings, reports, executive presentations, and remediation roadmaps.
  • Experience with Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM/SOAR platforms.
