Role Summary
A Power Platform Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform to address complex business challenges. This position involves creating hybrid machine learning and rule-based applications, automations, and data visualizations to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders from discovery through implementation, with a focus on building scalable, maintainable, and innovative digital solutions.
Responsibilities

  • Design, build, configure, test, deploy, and maintain Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, and Power BI.
  • Develop reusable components, scripts, and frameworks to digitize manual administrative processes.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to identify opportunities by analyzing business problems, processes, and data sets.
  • Document technical designs, release notes, and project documentation to support development, security, and operational needs.
  • Create visually compelling Power BI reports and dashboards using DAX, M, and multiple data sources to enhance data insights and decision-making.
  • Work cross-functionally during product development and quality assurance to ensure solutions meet design specifications and solve business problems.
  • Deploy solutions successfully and troubleshoot issues promptly to support ongoing operations and enhancements.
  • Establish standards and best practices for Power Platform governance, operating models, and solution development.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze data, reporting findings to relevant stakeholders to inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, participate in community groups, and mentor team members to foster continuous improvement.
  • Create Virtual Agents for automating routine tasks, providing support, and scaling solutions across the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet organizational goals and project timelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields; relevant experience and certifications considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of four years of professional experience in software development, with hands-on experience in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Dataverse, Power BI).
  • Programming or automation experience in R, Python, Java, .NET, C#, Visual Basic, or similar languages, especially within automation and integration projects.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI, or similar applications.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing solutions involving APIs, command line interfaces, client-server architecture, and networks.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence concepts, and low-code/no-code platforms is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret structured and unstructured data effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and implementing improvements.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
