Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Empire Southwest is looking for a Power Platform Developer to design, build, and own enterprise-grade solutions across our operations. In this role you’ll develop Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps, create Power Automate workflows (cloud, desktop, and business process flows), and deliver actionable insights through Power BI dashboards and reports — all backed by a well-architected Dataverse data layer.

You’ll also play a key role in our modern data stack, working with data pipelines, lakehouses, and semantic models in Microsoft Fabric to centralize reporting and analytics across the organization. On the AI side, you’ll design and deploy intelligent solutions using Copilot Studio and AI Builder — from custom copilots and conversational agents to document processing, predictive models, and AI-driven automation that extend what the Power Platform can do out of the box.

This is a high-impact role in the Caterpillar dealer ecosystem where you’ll touch parts operations, field service, customer-facing tools, and everything in between. You’ll serve as an integration and application development expert for multiple business areas, partnering closely with operational teams, Information Systems, and leadership to turn complex data into clear business outcomes. If you enjoy solving real business problems with the Microsoft Power Platform and want ownership over the solutions you ship, we’d love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate brings experience with:

  • Power Platform development — Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, and AI Builder
  • Power FX, DAX, and/or Power Query (M) language proficiency
  • SQL and database design; experience with Microsoft Fabric (lakehouses, data pipelines, semantic models), Snowflake, or Azure data services is a strong plus
  • AI / automation design — building copilots, agents, document intelligence, or predictive models with Copilot Studio and AI Builder
  • Dynamics 365 development, REST API / custom connector integration, or other web/application development
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, ALM practices, and solution lifecycle management
