Job Description
Job Summary:
The Software Support Specialist will install, maintain, and troubleshoot software unique to the field service business used by all of Group CBS entities' field technicians and will serve as a liaison with our Managed IT provider.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical support and training to company team members and troubleshoot technical problems related to software with a focus on field service test equipment and company cell phones
  • Manages specialized test equipment software licenses and versions, and performs software update vetting and applicability
  • Manages the PowerDB program and create requested forms
  • Install specialized test equipment software on computers and test the setup by connection to the test equipment
  • Manages the intracompany SharePoint site by keeping it updated and adding content
  • Provides assistance with onsite and in the field hardware issues
  • Provides liaison support with the company's Managed IT provider who manages all IT components besides the test equipment software
  • Provides assistance to our Managed IT provider with onboarding new computers
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, languages, and hardware used in within the organization and this industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Power Apps Development, or related software.

Work Environment:
  • Must be willing to relocate within 60 miles of Premier Power Maintenance's Corporate office in Indianapolis, IN.
  • Corporate business hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, but depending on the scope of work hours outside of regular business hours may be required.
  • Must be willing to take calls and travel outside the scope of normal business hours. Providing IT support to all offices is a key component of this position.
  • Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Information Science-related field is recommended.
  • At least three years of related experience required.
  • Experience with application of information technology in a field service business preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, education verification, motor vehicle report, an approved hair and urine drug screen, as well as periodic, unannounced random testing.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 25 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/ standing at a desk.
