Role Overview

Serve as Aptean’s primary point of contact for Microsoft, driving measurable value from the partnership by securing funding, incentives, and co-sell opportunities while providing expert guidance on licensing and commercial strategy.

About the Role

Aptean is seeking a highly connected Microsoft Alliance Manager to own and strengthen our relationship with Microsoft. This role is responsible for maximizing the value of Microsoft programs, incentives, and partnerships across global sales efforts. You will act as the internal expert and external liaison, ensuring our sales teams can efficiently leverage Microsoft resources to improve deal outcomes and accelerate revenue growth.

This is a high-impact, individual contributor role with global scope across North America and Europe, directly influencing deal profitability, sales efficiency, and strategic partnership success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as Aptean’s primary liaison to Microsoft, managing day-to-day relationships across partner, sales, and alliance teams
  • Identify, qualify, and secure Microsoft funding, incentives, promotions, and co-sell opportunities tied to active and prospective deals
  • Continuously evaluate Microsoft partner programs to ensure full utilization of available benefits
  • Act as the internal expert on Microsoft licensing, incentives, partner programs, and eligibility criteria
  • Advise Sales and Commercial teams on deal structures to maximize discounts, rebates, and program alignment
  • Provide clear, actionable guidance to sales teams on navigating Microsoft-related processes and opportunities
  • Coordinate Microsoft involvement in customer engagements, including joint meetings and deal support
  • Leverage existing Microsoft relationships while building new connections to expand Aptean’s reach and influence
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Significant experience within the Microsoft ecosystem (Microsoft, partner, alliances, or channel roles)
  • Strong track record of building and leveraging relationships within Microsoft
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft partner programs, licensing models, incentives, and commercial frameworks
  • Familiarity with Microsoft cloud, Dynamics, and related offerings
  • Ability to translate complex Microsoft constructs into clear, actionable insights for sales teams
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across regions
  • High initiative with a proactive approach to uncovering opportunities and driving outcomes
