Staff Engineer II - M365 Engineer

What you'll do:

We are seeking a skilled M365 Engineer to join our Microsoft 0365 team. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Microsoft Admin Portals (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Purview, Compliance) solutions that help govern, catalog, and protect our organization's data assets across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Provide Support for M365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Viva Engage, Stream, Viva, Microsoft Purview, and other Microsoft 365 collaboration tools
  • Proactively monitor the environment using Microsoft Admin Center
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests according to agreed SLA standards.
  • Incident Management and Problem Management: Resolve incidents and problems.
  • Create new KB Articles for new processes introduced and regularly review and update existing Knowledge Base articles to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Create comprehensive procedures either for the team or governance tracking to supplement ServiceNow KBs, ensuring all procedures are documented for reference and audit purposes.
  • Create Maintain and manage SharePoint Sites using existing templates & web parts
  • Create new Teams and Channels and setup approved Teams apps.
  • Ensure successful remediations for security assessments and other governance issues.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 7 years overall IT experience with 4-7 years of experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies
  • Proven experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Purview knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of data governance
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Applications, Security and Compliance
  • Familiarity with data classification, labeling, and metadata management.
  • Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, REST APIs).
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Purview certifications).
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Additional experience with pipeline development and leveraging Azure DevOps while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
