As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Electrical Engineer to join our team.
Job Summary: X-Bow Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in circuit design, PCB layout, microcontroller/FPGA integration, and testing. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical circuits for safety-critical applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Work on high voltage pulsed power systems, including design, analysis, and implementation.
  • Create and optimize PCB layouts for complex electronic systems, ensuring manufacturability and reliability.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure performance and safety requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Document design processes, test results, and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Support test events at various facilities.
  • Conduct peer reviews and provide feedback on other's electronic designs.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering technologies.
  • Integrate microcontrollers and FPGAs into designs, including firmware development and debugging.

Desired Requirements:
  • 5+ years directly applicable industry experience. 10+ years is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in circuit design, PCB layout, high voltage pulsed power, and microcontroller/FPGA integration.
  • Familiarity with parts manufactured to meet MIL-STD-1901a and MIL-STD-1316 standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the DoD munitions safety process.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with simulation and design software (e.g., Altium, MATLAB, SPICE etc.).
  • Hands on soldering and electronics assembly experience.
