Job Description:

The Wireless Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Architect to define the portfolio for 32-bit microcontroller-based Bluetooth, UWB, and Wi-Fi products. In this role, you will lead the architecture of next-generation wireless SoC solutions that balance high performance with low power consumption. You will provide technical leadership and work closely with marketing, applications, engineering teams, and external customers to gather requirements and develop peripheral and SoC architecture specifications. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the architecture of complex Bluetooth, UWB, and Wi-Fi SoC solutions, including core selection, memory subsystems, power management, security, and test features.
  • Own peripheral architecture, including programming models, interfaces, feature sets, and detailed operational behavior.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and architectural trade-off analyses to define products that meet target market cost and feature requirements.
  • Drive product innovation through creative thinking and differentiated solutions that strengthen market competitiveness.
  • Present product vision, features, specifications, and cost considerations to leadership teams and customers to gain alignment and support.
  • Define architectures and features that support functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434, including TARA analysis).
  • Contribute to SoC development from concept through tape-out by partnering with cross-functional teams across marketing, design, applications, verification, emulation, and product/test.
  • Collaborate with firmware teams to ensure strong software support for wireless products.
  • Work with IP vendors and internal stakeholders to align technical requirements and project roadmaps.
  • Apply AI-driven and automation techniques to improve design quality, methodology, and efficiency, enabling faster cycle times and first-silicon success.
  • Foster teamwork, collaboration across geographies, and an inclusive workplace culture.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of industry experience in wireless technology design and/or architecture roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in microarchitecture, microcontroller development, and wireless product implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of BLE, UWB, and Wi-Fi communication principles and standards.
  • Solid understanding of low-power design and power/analog subsystems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the microcontroller development lifecycle, including marketing requirements, pre-silicon and post-silicon validation, and production testing.
  • Proven track record of working with geographically distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with functional safety (FuSa) and cybersecurity standards for embedded products.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
