Anti-Infective Research Intern

Location: Kalamazoo, MI

Supporting antibiotic and microbiome research in a real-world laboratory environment

At Microbiologics, we support the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic testing worldwide through high-quality products and scientific expertise. Our Antibiotic and Microbiome Research Center plays a key role in advancing anti-infective research and microbiology applications that support real-world healthcare and scientific innovation.

We are seeking an Anti-Infective Research Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in microbiology and antibiotic research within an industry laboratory setting. This internship is ideal for students interested in microbiology, infectious disease research, and laboratory science who want to build practical lab skills while working alongside experienced scientists.

  • Assist with routine laboratory maintenance, cleaning, and organization
  • Monitor laboratory equipment (freezers, incubators, refrigerators) and record conditions
  • Ensure proper documentation in accordance with Quality Assurance standards

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate lab records and documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and internship program activities
  • Complete and present a final project to site and company leadership
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed
