Job description

Description
The Department of Microbiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of mRNA biochemistry, mRNA production, immunology (evaluate vaccine-induced cellular and humarol immune responses) and work with mice. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.
Responsibilities may include investigation of novel adjuvants for mRNA vaccines in various mouse models.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to further develop critical research skills, literature and experimental techniques, prepare manuscripts, present findings at national and international meetings.
Qualifications
Candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of postdoctoral experience.
