Job Overview
Nova Space Solutions (NSS) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to support NASA operations. This position supervises maintenance personnel responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and facility services to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facilities, infrastructure, and equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates maintenance activities, manages personnel and budgets, and works closely with operations, engineering, and facility leadership to support mission requirements.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
  • Develop maintenance project objectives, installation schedules, and procurement requirements
  • Coordinate maintenance and construction activities with internal departments and stakeholders
  • Monitor maintenance and construction projects for schedule, budget, and quality performance
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor operating and personnel budgets, recommending adjustments as needed
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluations for maintenance personnel
  • Develop and implement maintenance methods and procedures to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Manage maintenance workflows and personnel to ensure timely completion of work assignments
  • Coordinate maintenance priorities with operations, engineering, and facility management
  • Prepare reports supporting operational metrics, contractual compliance, and maintenance performance
  • Maintain maintenance databases, work order systems, and related records
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise maintenance personnel performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and facility support services
  • Plan, coordinate, and prioritize maintenance projects and work assignments
  • Monitor maintenance operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures that improve operational performance and reliability
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and project performance
  • Support workforce development through hiring, coaching, training, and performance management
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and facility leadership to establish maintenance priorities and support mission objectives
  • Promote a safe, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment

Job Requirements
Mandatory:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of facilities maintenance experience
  • Experience supervising maintenance personnel or leading maintenance teams
  • Experience with facilities management and building engineering practices
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or work order tracking systems
  • Strong leadership, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required NASA site access and credentials

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting NASA, Federal, or government contractor environments
  • Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and maintenance planning
