Job Title: Mechanical Skid Assembler

Location: Duncan, SC
Schedule: 1st Shift
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Skid Assembler to support fabrication and assembly of mechanical skids and piping systems. This role is responsible for assembling sub-components and installing pipe spools onto skids while ensuring alignment with drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience, is comfortable using tools and equipment, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical sub-assemblies and components onto skids using hand tools and power tools
  • Install and secure pipe spools to mating equipment and components
  • Perform drilling, tapping, bolting, and general mechanical assembly tasks
  • Read and interpret basic assembly drawings and instructions
  • Ensure proper alignment and fit-up of components prior to final installation
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move components and assemblies
  • Assist with loading, positioning, and securing materials during assembly
  • Verify materials and components match job requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with shop standards
  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and hazard identification
  • Report any safety concerns, damaged materials, or quality issues to supervision
  • Support production goals by completing work efficiently and accurately
  • Participate in daily production (POD) meetings as required

Additional Duties

  • Assist other departments as needed to support production flow
  • Perform basic equipment and tool checks to ensure proper operation
  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency efforts
  • Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly or fabrication experience
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
  • Ability to perform drilling, tapping, and bolting tasks
  • Ability to follow instructions and work from drawings or prints
  • Basic computer or tracking system familiarity preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in pipe fabrication or skid assembly
