About the Job

Title: Material Handler

Hourly Pay: $16-$18 Hourly

Shift Hours: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Location: Columbus, Ohio 43231

Job Description:

The Material Handler position aids the shipping and receiving department with all materials coming and leaving our manufacturing warehouse. Material Handlers assist with the strapping, loading and unloading of materials to our flatbed trucks. This involves working with large materials and objects as well as ensuring all shipments are safe to travel and building items to guarantee shipments are secure. Employees can be set into one of five different levels based on skills and training. Levels include Novice, Advanced Beginner, Proficient, Expert, Master Craftsman.

Basic Requirements:

  • Reliable Transportation
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Authorized to Work in the U.S.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test

Work experience:

  • Working knowledge of fabrication processes and equipment
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or other related fields
  • Can work with hand and power tools appropriately
  • Handling and organizing all of our shipped materials to and from our shop
  • Ability to handle very large materials
  • Ensuring material is secure before the trucks take-off
  • Organizing delivered materials in our shop to be used for fabrication
  • Ensuring that all deliveries are correct when they are received and when they leave us
  • Other tasks or duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Shop Manager
