THE JOB:
The Director of Housekeeping will provide direction and leadership for the Housekeeping, EVS and Uniforms team, consistent with the MGM Resorts brand. The candidate is responsible for leading the Housekeeping, EVS and Uniforms team in achieving operational and financial goals. The Director will monitor the performance, scheduling and training of the staff, maintaining the departments' guest service in accordance with MGM Resorts standards, ensuring high customer satisfaction and an exceptional guest experience. All duties are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Oversee leadership in the development and monitoring of housekeeping, EVS and uniforms departments' fiscal budget and guest service standards, to maximize revenue opportunities to produce both short-term and long-term profitability.
  • Oversee implementation of policies, operating procedures, training programs, directives, work schedules, rules and regulations for housekeeping, EVS and Uniforms staff and personnel, in response to business demands.
  • Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and coach front office staff for the efficient operation of the department.
  • Drive employee engagement through coaching, training, and development.
  • Ensure an exceptional guest experience within the housekeeping, EVS and uniforms department, consistent with the company's service standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • 4+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in the direction and management of employees in a similar hotel environment required
  • 3+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in housekeeping operations management required
  • Technical knowledge and experience with HotSOS or other service optimization system required
  • Bachelors degree preferred
