Job description

Purpose of this position

The purpose of this position is to implement facility housekeeping procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

Qualifications
  • Must have current license. (if applicable)
  • License must be free of any encumbrances. (if applicable)
  • Must not have any disqualifying findings barring employment as stated by State or Federal regulations.
  • Delegation of authority
  • Follow housekeeping procedures to meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements
  • Participate in the monitoring system for the housekeeping department
  • Notify supervisor when supplies are needed
  • Notify supervisor when equipment in need of repair
  • Primary Functions and Responsibilities
      1.Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
      2.Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS).
      3.Operate housekeeping equipment safely.
      4.Use housekeeping supplies efficiently.
      5.Attend in-service training programs for housekeeping employees.
      6.Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy; follow directions.
      7.Observe infection control procedures related to Housekeeping Department.
