The City of Hope Marriage & Family Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our innovative team. • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans addressing the emotional and relational issues faced by clients.
• Provide brief and long-term therapy sessions to individuals, couples, and families, ensuring a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
• Regularly evaluate and document patient progress using evidence-based methods to refine therapeutic approaches and track outcomes.
• Engage actively in team meetings and interdisciplinary case reviews to enhance treatment delivery and share best practices.
• Utilize a patient-centered approach to foster trust and encourage open communication between clients and therapists.
• Work with clients suffering from chronic pain and trauma, utilizing an integrated therapeutic approach that prioritizes their unique experiences.

The LMFT will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals with various psychological disorders, couples navigating relationship challenges, and families dealing with systemic issues. You will focus on fostering resilience and promoting recovery in clients facing complex life transitions, relational difficulties, and behavioral issues. Your role is pivotal in transforming patients’ lives by helping them replace dysfunctional behaviors with healthy alternatives through psychological and relational therapies.

• A Master's degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Must possess a valid LMFT license in Washington State.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in delivering mental health services, preferably within a health-related setting.
• Strong knowledge of client privacy laws and health regulations, ensuring compliance in all interactions.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate patients towards positive life changes.
• Excellent organizational skills, maintaining comprehensive and accessible patient files.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective counseling and teamwork.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, essential for developing effective treatment plans.

• Familiarity with working with chronic pain and trauma populations, with an emphasis on integrative therapeutic approaches.
• Experience using telehealth platforms and digital assessment tools.
• Background in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
