Key Responsibilities

As an LMFT at Uplands Counseling Center Associates, you will engage in diverse therapeutic practices focused on supporting family systems and individual clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations to formulate appropriate treatment plans for couples and families.
  • Facilitating therapy sessions that may include both joint and individual appointments, addressing complex interpersonal issues.
  • Supporting clients dealing with challenges related to alcohol and substance abuse, physical or psychological trauma, grief and loss, and family dynamics.
  • Engaging in conflict resolution among family members, navigating sibling disputes, and addressing cut-offs or estrangements.
  • Providing coping strategies for clients managing job stress, medical issues, and the transitions involved in blended families.
  • Offering therapeutic support for individuals experiencing changes due to separation or divorce and assisting children and adolescents in adjustment phases.
  • Implementing effective communication techniques and strategies to enhance familial relationships.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse demographic, working closely with both adult and child/adolescent populations. Your experience will be critical in addressing specific issues such as blended family challenges, sibling rivalries, and parental conflicts.
