Key Responsibilities

• Counsel clients during individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on dynamic issues related to family systems, marriages, and relationships.
• Conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments to identify clients' emotional and behavioral concerns, and maintain thorough documentation of each session.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, continually assessing their progress and making adjustments when necessary.
• Provide crisis intervention, equipping clients with effective coping strategies during moments of acute stress to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Collaborate actively with our multidisciplinary team to share insights and recommendations, ensuring a cohesive approach to the overall treatment plan for each client.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients include individuals, couples, and families who face challenges with substance abuse issues, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and other mental health disorders. As a therapist at Peace Marriage and Family Therapy Services, you will work closely with clients from various backgrounds, providing dedicated support to help them navigate their unique situations and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• An active, unrestricted license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a therapeutic environment, demonstrating expertise in treating diverse psychological and relational issues.
• Proficient in conducting psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and interdisciplinary care.
• A strong understanding of family development across life spans, and effective techniques to manage relational conflicts.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized training or certifications in substance abuse therapy or co-occurring disorders.
• Experience utilizing teletherapy platforms and digital health tools to enhance the therapeutic process.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Systems Theory.

Compensation and Benefits
