As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Peace Marriage and Family Therapy Services, you will play an essential role in our clients' therapeutic journeys. Your responsibilities include:

• Providing individualized, family, and group therapy tailored to the specific needs of clients facing challenges related to emotional and behavioral issues.
• Conducting thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor progress and adapt treatment strategies accordingly.
• Developing, implementing, and regularly updating personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary team members.
• Offering crisis intervention and support, including assessments of risk and immediate action planning to ensure client safety.
• Actively participating in team meetings to share insights and contribute to comprehensive treatment planning, fostering a collaborative therapeutic community.

Your primary focus will be working with individuals and families impacted by substance abuse and various mental health disorders. You will encounter diverse clients facing unique challenges, ranging from early recovery phases to long-term management of co-occurring disorders. Your expertise will empower them to develop coping mechanisms, heal relationships, and achieve their therapeutic goals.

• Education: A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• License: Must hold an active LMFT license.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the field of marriage and family therapy.
• Clinical Skills: Proven ability in psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention techniques, and effective counseling. Proficiency in interdisciplinary collaboration is essential.
• Development Knowledge: Understanding of individual and family development across various life stages is crucial for effective practice.

• Prior experience working in a community health setting is preferred, providing insight into behavioral health and substance abuse challenges.
• A background in trauma-informed therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or other evidence-based practices will be beneficial.
