We are searching for a talented MFM Ultrasound Technologist 

Hours: Per Diem 

Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm    

Location: New Maternal Fetal Medicine Practice - New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Obtain pertinent information from patient's chart and document all data within the EHR. Educate patient for exam. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure. Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality. Assist physicians in performing procedures. Maintain the committed Per Diem requirements.
  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and attainment of certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in OBGYN
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine is required.
  • NT (Nuchal translucency) certification is required within 6 months.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) is required within 6 months.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
