Description

PCI is seeking an experienced Glass and Glazing, Operations Manager for our PCI Denver 583 branch based in Aurora, CO. This individual will play a vital role in overseeing commercial glass and glazing projects from conception to completion and be responsible for the following duties:

  • Manage business unit in commercial glass and glazing operations in Denver.  
  • Initiate and maintain customer contact which will enable securements and profitable execution of work.
  • Direct and manage the construction activities of projects in this area of responsibility in order to maximize margin contribution results.
  • Interpret and analyze contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications and requirements for each project.
  • Manage job site personnel in order to maintain effective relations with owner, engineers, utilities, subcontractors, contractors, unions, etc.
  • Implement the corporate program regarding loss control and claims management pertaining to workers compensation.
  • Analyze and monitor actual vs. estimated costs in order to develop action plans where unfavorable variances are detected.
  • Ensure that an effective job control system is utilized on each project.
  • Responsible to solicit the assistance of the estimating department when necessary in order to assure maximum bidding activity without sacrificing quality.
  • Negotiate contract issues and variances and further negotiate change order, scope changes, claims and other project issues as required.

This position is safety sensitive

Salary range: $143,200-$191,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

 

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction science or construction management or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience as a project manager in the Glass and Glazing industry
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience managing teams and processes.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word.
  • A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught.
  • Clear understanding of safety needs specifically related to the glass and glazing industry.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Experience with working with union representatives. 
  • OSHA Certification.
  • Local to Denver metro area is preferred but not required
