Job description

  • We are looking for an experienced glazier to join our team!

  • Must have experience installing shower glass or windows.

  • Must know how to measure and use a tape measure.

  • Must know how to use a level and measure for outages.

  • Must have a license.

  • Must be dependable and reliable.

  • Must be able to lead and train a helper.

Compensation:

$22 - $26 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that each construction project produces a high-quality finished product, manage construction workers, conduct routine on-site inspections, and provide guidance as needed
  • Review subcontractor output concerning schedules and success targets to ensure that the project is on track to be completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards required
  • Minimize injuries and delays on building projects by requiring complete attention to health and safety standards, and report any issues to the project manager when they occur
  • Submit a plan for homeowners that includes a cost estimate for the job
  • Address the project's costs with clients to ensure that it remains within budget
  • Lead in the installation of glass windows, doors, and shower enclosures
  • Follow blueprints and instructions to ensure accurate measurements and installations
  • Cut, shape, and fit glass to size using specialized tools and equipment
  • Work with a team to ensure efficient and timely installation of glass products
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent injury and damage to glass and surrounding materials
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to improve skills and knowledge in glass installation
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Qualifications:
  • Possesses a deep understanding of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, permits, construction equipment, material resources, project management principles, and construction methods
  • You will need a high school diploma for this position, and a bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Completed training for OSHA 30 license and firm adherence to safety protocols on the job-site
  • Stamina for operating heavy equipment and lifting 40 pounds or more
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office
  • 5+ years of experience in glass and glazing
  • Strong understanding of glass install techniques and tools
  • Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new skills and techniques
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience working with hand and power tools
