GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR SUMMARY

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the storage of finished goods, operating necessary equipment, routing, scheduling trucks, and tracking shipments to ensure they arrive on time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for inventory transactions in Fenevision and the accuracy of said transactions.
  • Scans orders into computer and tracks shipments.
  • Organizes and distributes crate/stillage orders according to the production schedule and preparation prior to shipping.
  • May include routing and scheduling trucks, tracking shipments to ensure they arrive on time and that shipment and delivery processes adhere to any pertinent regulations.
  • Performs other activities as instructed by Supervisors or in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • Is responsible for damages and losses caused by improper management of available resources and for personally made decisions, their legal and economic consequences for the Company due to failure to perform tasks or negligence of their duties.
  • Performs additional assignments per the Manager's direction.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATIONAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; additional education and/or experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience in logistics in manufacturing industry.
  • Strong organizations and planning skills.
  • Good computer skills - Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Logical reasoning skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Requires regular sitting, reaching, walking, talking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crawling and keyboarding.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Includes close, distance and peripheral vision, depth perception and color vision with ability to adjust focus.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential function of this job.
  • Noise level is usually moderate.

Shift: Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
