Job description

Senior Investment Writer, Marketing - Whippany, NJ (preferred); New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA
PineBridge Investments, A MetLife Investment Management company.
MetLife Investment Management (MIM) has successfully acquired PineBridge as of December 30, 2025.
MetLife Investment Management and PineBridge Investments now have more to offer; broader reach, deeper insights and specialized capabilities - forming a top-tier global investment platform.
Together, we have more than $700 billion in assets under management as of September 30, 2025 and aim to deliver consistent risk-adjusted returns. From multi-asset, equities, and fixed income to private credit and real estate, we offer specialized capabilities backed by a broader global reach and regionally grounded insights tailored to investor needs.
What sets us apart isn't just the breadth of our platform and capabilities - it's how we partner. Across both firms, we share a strong investment culture that prioritizes partnership, transparency and accountability. We believe that our clients benefit from direct access to decision-makers and reinforced by a culture that views decisions through the client's perspective. Join us and experience the excitement of working with the brightest minds in the industry, shaping the future of asset management.
The role will be based in Whippany, NJ (preferred); New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA with the expectation of a hybrid work model.
PineBridge Investments is seeking a Senior Investment Writer will report to the Head of Thought Leadership and play a key role in shaping and executing MIM's thought leadership agenda.
The MetLife Investment Management Marketing (MIM Marketing) team collaborates with the Global Client Group to grow MIM's third-party asset management business. The team is a strategic, client-focused function dedicated to driving business impact across regions through differentiated positioning, compelling insights, and meaningful client engagement.
This role requires close partnership across the organization-working with investment teams to surface differentiated insights, with product marketing to understand strategy-level positioning, and with client marketing to align content to audience needs.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and editor who knows how to translate investment jargon into clear, compelling narratives for institutional investors. They must be comfortable with writing both short-form articles and long-form white papers, along with a variety of alternative formats, including Q&As, infographics, chartbooks, video scripts, and more. The writer should also be fluent in investment concepts across multiple asset classes with experience writing about public and private assets.
But the role is not just about writing and editing. We value new ideas and perspectives and expect the Senior Investment Writer to actively contribute to content planning conversations; workshop new ideas with investment teams, sales, and marketing colleagues; and communicate proactively about changes, challenges, and opportunities with a wide variety of stakeholders.
In a world where AI is increasingly ascendant, we are looking for a candidate who is curious about using artificial intelligence to become more productive without outsourcing writing and judgment. We value experimentation and a desire to learn more about SEO and AEO/GEO so that our thought leadership can reach audiences where they are.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Partner directly with investment professionals to develop thought leadership that reflects authentic expertise, conviction, and a differentiated perspective. Build credibility with these teams as a trusted partner who can both capture and sharpen their insights;
  • Proactively identify timely and forward-looking themes;
  • Bring teams together to create content that covers themes that go across asset classes while also demonstrating our strengths;
  • Produce a wide range of content, including white papers, articles, Q&As, presentations, infographics, chartbooks, video scripts, and more;
  • Translate complex investment concepts and market dynamics into clear, engaging, and accessible narratives for institutional audiences;
  • Ensure all content aligns with MIM's positioning and reinforces a consistent, differentiated voice across channels;
  • Collaborate with product and client marketing to align content to commercial priorities and audience needs;
  • Contribute to and help operationalize the editorial agenda and calendar, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality, relevant insights;
  • Elevate the overall quality of thought leadership by applying strong editorial standards;
  • Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, balancing long-form research with shorter, time-sensitive content; delivering pieces on-deadline and communicating early and often about unforeseen delays or challenges.

Qualifications:
  • 7 or more years of prior work experience in an investment writing and/or investment content development role
  • Strong understanding of investment markets, particularly traditional fixed income, private credit, and equities, as well as experience writing about these areas
  • Demonstrated ability to write for institutional and intermediary audiences with clarity, credibility, and authority
  • Proven ability to translate complex investment ideas into compelling narratives across formats
  • Experience working closely and productively with investment professionals, sales teams, and marketing colleagues
  • Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
  • Clear, lively, and readable writing style
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills across investment, marketing, and client teams
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset; willingness to bring ideas, not just execute
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn about AI, SEO, and AEO/GEO.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Writing samples required

What Will Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)
  • CFA and/or advanced degree in finance desirable, but not required
  • Journalism experience
