Job description

National Material Processing (NMP) was formed in 1964 and is considered a leader in metals processing and supply-chain management solutions. NMP supports prominent industrial and consumer product manufacturers across a wide variety of industries.

Our steel processing facilities are growing fast, and we are excited to be adding to our production teams!

Job Duties

  • Set-up, operate and observe machine in operation to meet order specifications, detect material defects and/or machine malfunctions
  • Maintain all production and quality related reporting
  • Responsible for the overall quality of the material and productivity of the line
  • Comply with all plant safety rules and guidelines
  • Operators must maintain their work areas, in order to keep a clean, safe and productive work area

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is necessary
  • 1-3 years in manufacturing industry required, previous slitting experience is preferred. If applicants do not have Slitting experience, on-the-job training may be offered.
  • Basic math, measurement, computer skills, and ability to read and follow directions.
  • NMP employees must be able to repeatedly lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
  • Ability to follow all safety and health regulations
