Job Summary
We are seeking a Metal Cutter to join our team! As a Metal Cutter on the team, your responsibilities will include setting up equipment such as band saws, plasma cutters, and circular saws, reading detailed drawings of the required final product, and making accurate cuts and designs based on those readings. You will also be responsible for basic maintenance of equipment, maintaining a clean, organized workspace at all times, and work closely with the whole team to meet project goals and stay within a timeline. The ideal candidate is comfortable reading technical engineering drawings, is familiar with workshop safety protocols, and can adhere to all safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. 
Responsibilities 
  • Read engineering drawings and interpret them appropriately
  • Set up the appropriate equipment needed for the final product, including plasma cutters, bandsaws, and more
  • Work closely with the entire workshop team to ensure deadlines are being met
  • Monitor equipment, make adjustments as needed, and perform all general maintenance to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely
  • Maintain records of all materials used, and anything remaining
