Job description

Job Title: Sheet Metal Technician
Shift: Day Shift, Night Shift, or Weekend Shift
Job Qualifications:
  • Basic Sheet Metal machine operations; cutting, breaking, and sorting of parts
  • Participate in team and shop business problem solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements
  • Meet or exceed annual safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity targets
  • Attend training courses as directed by management
  • May perform other duties, as assigned
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as insuring a safe work environment is maintained
  • Maintain excellent work attendance
  • Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude
  • Strive to continually improve quality, safety, 5-S, and productivity within your areas of responsibility
  • Understanding and proper use of tape measure within 1/32”
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
  • Must be able to read Production Orders amp; understand shop drawings
  • Familiar with common hand and power tools
Physical Requirements:
  • Manufacturing and outdoor environments
  • Continuous standing, sitting, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday
  • Lifting of 50 lbs or more with assistance; two-person lift or mechanical
  • Wear PPE when required
