Journeyman Insulator / Metal Worker

Key Responsibilities:


Apply insulation materials including calcium silicate, mineral wool, fiberglass, cellular glass, and aerogel to hot or cold industrial surfaces.

Read industrial blueprints and isometric drawings to determine layouts, dimensions, and material requirements.

Measure and cut insulation / metal & cladding precisely to fit around valves, flanges, pumps, elbows, and irregular geometries.

Install protective jacketing made of aluminum, stainless steel, or PVC to weatherproof and seal the insulated systems.

Secure materials properly using wire, bands, rivets, screws, and specialized vapor-barrier mastics.

Work safely at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial boom/scissor lifts.

Adhere to safety protocols including mandatory PPE, fall protection, and daily hazard assessments.


Required Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Industrial Mechanical Insulation / Metal & Cladding (refineries, power plants, or chemical facilities).

Material Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial insulation types, temperature ratings, and application techniques.

Physical Stamina: Ability to lift to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces under varying weather conditions.

Compliance: Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening.

Transit: Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the jobsite.

Must speak fluent English - Bilingual is a plus.


Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday - 10-hour shifts.


Hourly Pay: $23.00-$25.00 DOE
