Job description

Our client, a leading provider of metal cladding and exterior building materials, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting with architects and general contractors across Nevada and Northern California to secure sales of high-quality exterior materials for construction projects. This position offers a competitive base salary of $60,000 to $80,000, plus commission, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with architects, general contractors, and other key decision-makers in the construction industry.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory (Nevada and Northern California).
  • Present product options, provide material specifications, and offer technical expertise on metal cladding and exterior building materials.
  • Travel regularly within the territory to meet with clients and prospects.
  • Attend training in the office until fully trained; after training, spend 1-2 days per week in the office and the remaining time in the field.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and orders are fulfilled efficiently.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor offerings to effectively position the company’s products.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in construction materials, metal cladding, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout Nevada and Northern California.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively present products and solutions to architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with both in-office training and field work post-training.
