Job description

Job Title: Laboratory / Medical Lab Technician
Location: Carmel, IN
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: 5x8-Hour Shifts | Rotating Weekends Required

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Laboratory / Medical Lab Technician for an exciting Travel or Local opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established policies and procedures

  • Analyze and report accurate laboratory results to support patient diagnosis and treatment

  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment

  • Perform testing in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Kit Testing

  • Verify specimen integrity and ensure quality control standards are met

  • Troubleshoot equipment and resolve testing issues as needed

  • Document results accurately within Cerner EMR/LIS

  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of recent hospital clinical laboratory experience required

  • Generalist laboratory experience required

  • Blood Bank experience required

  • Ability to work independently after orientation and training

  • ASCP Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or Medical Technologist (MT) certification required
