Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Hamilton, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general maintenance, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment, as well as troubleshooting systems to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery and facility systems.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Visually inspect and listen to production equipment; report abnormalities to supervision.
  • Operate lift trucks and other machinery safely.
  • Work in elevated, awkward, or confined spaces; climb stairs/ladders; lift/move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Use facility management software proficiently.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work independently or as part of a team.
  • Perform emergency or special project work outside regular hours as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a General Maintenance Worker or similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of general maintenance techniques and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred.

Additional Requirement:

  • Candidates will be required to complete an online Maintenance Skills Assessment. This will help us better understand your experience level and technical proficiency.
