Who We Are

UAA is dedicated to training the next generation of pilots. United Aviate Academy, United's wholly owned flight school, is creating a pathway to the flight deck for aspiring aviators through an accelerated and rigorous flight training program focused on instruction and safety.

What will you be doing?

The Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic ("A&P Mechanic") is a working member of the maintenance organization and is tasked with completing required maintenance on aircraft in a timely manner and in accordance with policy and procedure.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

Ensure safe and legal practices in accordance with FAA and United Aviate policy and regulations

Ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals

Properly tag aircraft components, parts, and panels including racks by aircraft

Maintain awareness of hourly goals for tasks assigned

Perform and assist approved work by their leads within the scheduled shift

Ensure completeness of all assigned work documents and records

Coordinate all activities with lead mechanic in charge or supervisor

Research all pertinent information and material for work scheduled on aircraft and carefully follow processes as outlined

Ensure that all tools are removed from the aircraft, aircraft engines, appliances, and components

Always maintain positive tool control accountability

Immediately report lost and/or found tools to management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Airframe & Powerplant Certification Required
  • FAA-approved aircraft maintenance school graduates considered
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, reach for extended periods
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Working knowledge of FAA aircraft maintenance regulations
