Job Description

Support the development of cell culture manufacturing processes for recombinant protein production in the small scale cell culture development laboratory. This position will focus on enhancing existing media through statistically designed experiments and on increasing process robustness through media optimization. The candidate's goals will be to increase process robustness and productivity by systematically evaluating a broad nutritional space. Conduct and document laboratory bioreactor experiments with a focus on process definition and understanding, assist in experimental design and troubleshooting, and analyze data. Work closely with pilot scale and tech transfer teams for execution of development projects. Candidates must be strong team players and have an ability to collaborate effectively on complex projects.

Qualifications

Knowledge and technical experience in mammalian cell culture/ biotechnology related development including aseptic operations, cell biology, biochemistry, analytical techniques, and bioreactor operations. Familiarity working with complex laboratory operations, instrumentation and control systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated technical proficiency and creativity. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bio/Chemical Engineering or related field with 0-2+ years' experience required.
