Sales Manager

Location: Don Vance Auto Group – Marshfield, MO

Don Vance Auto Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to lead our automotive sales team. This leadership role is responsible for driving vehicle sales, coaching and developing sales consultants, maximizing profitability, and ensuring every customer receives an exceptional dealership experience.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven record of success in automotive retail, strong closing skills, and the ability to motivate a team to consistently exceed performance goals.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the sales department.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Assist sales consultants throughout the sales process, including customer interactions, negotiations, and closing deals.
  • Monitor individual and team sales performance to achieve monthly and annual sales objectives.
  • Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and promptly resolve customer concerns.
  • Work closely with the Finance & Insurance Department to maximize profitability while maintaining compliance.
  • Maintain accurate inventory knowledge and assist with inventory management and merchandising.
  • Oversee CRM processes to ensure timely follow-up on internet leads, showroom traffic, and previous customers.
  • Analyze sales reports, market trends, and dealership performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and all federal and state regulations.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive dealership sales management experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience with a successful record of achieving sales and gross profit objectives.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of dealership operations, CRM systems, and dealership management software (DMS).
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Schedule

This is a full-time leadership position.

Dealership Hours:
