The Brand Director will lead the development and execution of Alteryx's global brand strategy, overseeing integrated brand campaigns, advertising strategy, and brand performance measurement across the customer journey. This leader will be responsible for building high-impact brand experiences that strengthen awareness, engagement, and business growth while ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints.

This role will also oversee Alteryx's strategic partnership with McLaren Racing, leading activation strategy and execution across events, content, digital, customer engagement, and executive experiences. In addition, the Brand Director will manage global merchandise strategy and vendor relationships to ensure brand consistency and operational excellence worldwide.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with operational rigor, has deep experience in B2B technology marketing, and is passionate about building measurable, modern brands that drive both awareness and demand.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Campaign Leadership

  • Develop and evolve Alteryx's global brand strategy and positioning in partnership with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Lead the creation and execution of integrated global brand campaigns across digital, social, paid media, experiential, content, and partner channels.

  • Ensure brand consistency and excellence across all external touchpoints, including advertising, events, sponsorships, customer storytelling, and merchandise.

  • Partner closely with Demand Generation, Portfolio Marketing, Communications, Creative, and Regional Marketing teams to align brand initiatives with business objectives.

Advertising & Media Strategy

  • Own the company's advertising strategy, including channel planning, media investment strategy, audience targeting, and campaign optimization.

  • Drive integrated paid media initiatives that increase brand awareness, engagement, and pipeline contribution.

  • Collaborate with agency partners and internal teams to develop breakthrough creative and measurable campaign performance.

Brand-to-Demand Measurement & Analytics

  • Establish and manage brand-to-demand measurement frameworks that connect brand investment to business outcomes.

  • Define and track KPIs including brand awareness, consideration, engagement, share of voice, pipeline influence, and campaign ROI.

  • Partner with Marketing Operations and Analytics teams to build executive reporting and actionable insights that optimize performance and investment decisions.

McLaren Partnership & Activation

  • Serve as the primary marketing lead for the Alteryx and McLaren Racing partnership.

  • Develop and execute annual activation strategies that maximize brand visibility, customer engagement, executive hospitality, employee engagement, and content opportunities.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and McLaren counterparts to deliver high-impact experiences and campaigns globally.

  • Manage sponsorship deliverables, budgets, timelines, and reporting against partnership objectives.

Global Merchandise & Vendor Management

  • Oversee Alteryx's global merchandise strategy, ensuring alignment with brand standards and business goals.

  • Manage relationships with global merchandise vendors, including sourcing, production, fulfillment, budgeting, and quality control.

  • Develop scalable merchandise programs that support events, employee engagement, customer marketing, and executive gifting initiatives.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor internal team members and external agency partners.

  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders and build alignment across marketing, sales, communications, and executive leadership teams.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, integrated marketing, or corporate marketing within B2B technology or SaaS environments.

  • Proven success leading global brand campaigns and advertising strategy with measurable business impact.

  • Experience managing sports marketing activations, sponsorships, or strategic partnerships strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of brand-to-demand measurement and modern marketing analytics.

  • Experience managing agencies, media partners, and global vendors.

  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.

Compensation

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The base salary range for this role in the United States is $155,000 - $205,000. This role is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 20% of base salary, based on individual and company performance.

In addition to base pay and bonus eligibility, this role includes:

  • A monthly Connectivity Plus stipend of $150 to support remote work-related expenses

  • An annual $200 home office reimbursement
