Job description

To that purpose, we are committed to providing our customers with an easy and fun furniture shopping experience. The Material Handler is critical in ensuring we meet that goal. This role is responsible for shipping and receiving merchandise and executing other distribution center operations. The Material Handler reports directly to the Operations Supervisor.

Some of the functions the Material Handler will perform:

  • Communicates and works will with other team members
  • Follows best practices regarding quality, ensuring that our stores and ultimately our customers receive their furniture in perfect working condition
  • Unpacks and loads merchandise on and off trucks
  • Follows best practices regarding tagging and scanning of product, ensuring accurate shipping
  • Meets productivity goals and utilizes time efficiently
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned
