In-Store Warehouse Associate

Position Summary:

The Store Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in maintaining the Ashley brand standard at the store level, ensuring the store remains guest-ready, the warehouse stays organized, and showroom product is placed with care and accuracy. This position partners closely with the Visual Merchandising team and Store Manager on floor resets, new-merchandise placement, and ongoing showroom presentation, while also supporting customer pickups, floor-sample upkeep, and general store maintenance and cleaning.

Job Duties:
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising and Store Manager to execute floor resets, new merchandise placement, and ongoing display updates that uphold the Ashley brand standards.
  • Read and interpret store floor plans and visual directives to execute product placement independently, ensuring merchandise is positioned accurately and on standard without direct supervision.
  • Organize and maintain the store warehouse, ensuring products are stored properly, and the space remains safe, accessible, and audit ready.
  • Inspect, touch up, and repair floor samples to keep the showroom in guest-ready, brand-aligned condition at all times.
  • Prep the sales floor for incoming merchandise, including moving displays, clearing space, and supporting the setup of new product.
  • Perform general housekeeping throughout the warehouse, back-of-house, and showroom, including vacuuming, restroom cleanliness, and cleaning surface areas across the showroom, as well as maintaining cardboard trailers and dumpsters.
  • Remove sold products from the sales floor and prepare it for customer pickup, including wrapping, securing, and properly staging items.
  • Load products into customer vehicles for pickup, handling items with care during the load.
  • Perform light maintenance work — including paint touchups, small drywall repairs, and similar minor fixes — and report routine building maintenance and/or repairs to keep the store operational, safe, and presentable to guests.
  • Communicate effectively with Visual Merchandising management, sales, and delivery teams to coordinate product movement and resolve issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols when lifting, moving, and handling product, and perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.
Required Qualifications:

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

· Experience: Prior warehouse, stockroom, or retail experience. Basic furniture care and repair skills. Basic handyman or light maintenance skills, preferred.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

· Physical Demands: Able to lift up to 75 lbs independently and up to 150 lbs with assistance. Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying throughout the shift.

· Work Environment: Retail store warehouse, back-of-house, and sales floor

· Schedule: Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings, and Holidays, as required.
