Per Diem NNP in theTampa Market

Florida- The Sunshine State!
Responsibilities
Pediatrix® Medical Group seeks a per diem, experienced, certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join its well-established practice in the Tampa, Florida area.
  • This position will primarily cover the NICUs at St Joseph's North (located in Lutz) and South Florida Baptist Hospital (located in Plant City) with the opportunity to rotate to the other hospitals covered by the practice.
  • The NNP schedule will consist of 16-hour night shifts
  • Neonatal coverage by the practice extends to other Baycare locations at:
    • St Joseph's Women's Hospital, a 76-bed Level-IV NICU with over 1000 NICU admissions per year and approximately 5000 births annually
    • Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, a Level-II NICU with 10 beds
    • Mease Countryside in Safety Harbor, a Level-III NICU with 12 beds
    • St. Joseph's South Hospital, a Level-II NICU with 11 beds
  • The group provides 24 hour in-house delivery room and newborn coverage at all hospitals
  • The neonatologists provide in-house call at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital Level-IV NICU, and a combination of in-house and back-up call from home for the other NICUs with either a Neo or NNP providing night coverage
  • A combination of neonatologists and pediatricians provide normal newborn coverage at the hospitals
  • The team consists of 16 neonatologists, 5 neonatal hospitalists and 14 NNPs who provide care to patients in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties

  • Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Minimum of a master's degree
  • FL license required
