Publix is seeking a Benefits Lead Data Warehouse Technical Analyst to join our Benefits team in an on-site role at our Lakeland corporate office. This position works closely with Benefits leadership, technical partners, and vendors, and is designed for professionals who value in-person collaboration, relationship-building, and hands-on teamwork. By working on site, this role helps drive meaningful discussions, timely decision-making, and strong partnerships that support innovative benefits strategies and associate well-being.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned analytics professional who enjoys solving complex problems, partnering with senior leadership, and influencing large-scale initiatives through sophisticated data modeling and visualization.
What You'll Do
As the Benefits Lead Data Warehouse Technical Analyst, you will serve as the subject matter expert for benefits and population health analytics, with responsibilities that include:
  • Leading and developing an employee benefits data analytics strategy to support the research, development, and implementation of strategic, cross-functional and benefits-critical initiatives and on-going plan and program administration
  • Supporting the ongoing data needs of population health management initiatives and of employee benefits plans and programs at Publix
  • Supporting the benefits business area with operational and analytic level performance data reporting
  • Collaborating with Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR)
  • Mentoring and training in the usage and support of Benefits data strategy and its supporting tools

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, MIS, computer science, healthcare informatics, or a related technical field or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • 3 years of experience working with health data analytics or combined analytic and operational data platforms
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Relational databases and query tools (ANSI SQL, RDBMS platforms)
    • Data modeling concepts (fact/dimension tables, star and snowflake schemas)
    • Business intelligence reporting and requirements gathering
    • Healthcare and benefits-related data terminology
    • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in data analytics, statistics, MIS, or information technology
  • experience in healthcare, employee benefits, benefits consulting, or large-scale retail organizations
  • experience analyzing and managing large-scale healthcare claims data within IBM or Merative (Truven) data warehouse platforms (e.g., Health Insights, HDMS, or similar), including developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using IBM or Merative business intelligence, reporting, and data visualization tools.
  • Certifications such as:
    • IBM Data Warehouse Engineer Professional Certificate
    • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Group Benefits Associate (GBA)
