Duration: 12 month contract-to-hire

Pay Rate (Annualized – Exempt, No OT):

  • MEP‐1: ~$78,000 – $90,000
  • MEP‐2: ~$95,000 – $110,000
  • MEP‐3: Up to $135,000 max

Important: These are exempt contract roles. No overtime eligibility.

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking MEP Superintendents at multiple experience levels to support major mission-critical construction projects across North America. These roles will support cutting-edge data center and infrastructure builds requiring high reliability and precision execution.

The MEP Superintendent will be responsible for onsite leadership of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes, ensuring safe installation, quality execution, and seamless commissioning readiness. This individual will coordinate across cross-functional teams including contractors, engineers, and commissioning partners.

This is a high-impact opportunity to work on large-scale projects involving critical electrical infrastructure, HVAC systems, power distribution, and building controls.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee field execution of MEP systems from installation through commissioning
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, QA/QC processes, and project schedules
  • Manage documentation, punch lists, and project tracking in Procore
  • Support system startup, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Troubleshoot field issues and ensure successful system integration

Level-based responsibilities will vary from supporting senior leadership (MEP‐1) to full project ownership and team leadership (MEP‐3).

Qualifications

  • 1–8+ years of construction experience (MEP or electrical strongly preferred)
  • Experience working with mission-critical systems (UPS, ATS, switchgear, HVAC, controls)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management tools
  • Strong communication and coordination skills in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR
  • Commissioning or data center project experience
  • Experience with EPMS, SCADA, or building automation systems
